Adam Smith College, Fife.
Description: Creative Arts Supply Lecturer - I have covered classes on Fashion Design and Mixed Media (textiles, illustration, 3D design & printmaking).

Corstorphine Primary School.
Description: Artist in Residence - I was comisionned by the Corstorphine Trust to produce a textile banner for the Dower House Heritage Museum working with Primary 3 - Primary 6 classes at Corstorphine Primary.
Dates: January 2010 - June 2010.

Coats Crafts UK.
Description: Workshop Tutor -this consisted of setting up and delivering adult hand craft workshops from beginner to advanced level in which I held at different venues across the UK (department stores, independent shops and schools).
Dates: September 2003 - October 2008.

Edinburgh Council, Adult Education.
Description: Adult education tutor – I run weekly classes for adults on hand craft and textile design techniques.
Dates: January 2009 – ongoing.

The Edinburgh Academy Independent Junior School.
Description: Artist in Residence and assistant to art specialist – On my first residency I assisted with classes on mono and lino printing, mirrored drawing with pattern creation and clay work. I also took my own classes for a period of 4 weeks which involved running my own textile projects with the children (wet and needle felt making and tapestry weaving). On my second residency I assisted with classes on proportion and analytical drawing, animation, felting, Islamic art and design and paper making. I also ran my own art and design classes with early year girls (on going).
Dates: May 2008 – July 2008. October 2008 – December 2008.

The Edinburgh Academy Independent Junior School.
Description: Activities teacher in Arts & Crafts - I ran these classes one afternoon a week for all primary years. Workshops included the following: felt making; block, potato and bubble printing; weaving; origami; paper mache; appliqué; salt dough modelling; puppet making and egg shell mosaic.
Dates: September 2007 - April 2010.

Gylemuir Primary School, Corstorphine, Edinburgh.
Description: Visiting craft and textiles specialist – I have ran a variety of creative workshops at the school, these have included the following: Knitting; crochet; felt making; embroidery; machine sewing and designing on the computer using Photoshop. As well as running these classes I have helped the children to set up and create their own ‘craft shop’ in the school library in which they used to sell their creations at and run workshops for the parents and teachers. I have also ran a one day ‘recycled textile ideas and techniques’ workshop for all teaching staff at the school.

Edinburgh Council and the Scottish Arts Council.
Description: Visual Artist - Was successfully selected out of over 80 applicants to take part in this Scottish Arts Council funded ‘Children as Artists’ project. This involved running a 4 day project with a primary 6 class at Westburn Primary School in Edinburgh. The class, with my assistance, created their own individual pieces of artwork and sculptures using various craft and textile techniques in which they taught. They then went on to curate and exhibit their work on a travelling art gallery bus and in city art centre.
Dates: September 2007 - December 2007.

Beath High School, Community Use, Fife Council, Cowdenbeath, Fife.
Description: Textile and craft evening class tutor -  the ‘Friday Night Project’ was an initiative set up by Fife council to try and tackle the problem of teenage drinking in Fife. At these late evening classes I was responsible for a group of 8 - 10 teenagers. I set up and delivered a creative workshop programme which covered the following: T - shirt printing; jewellery making; card making, making and designing accessories and wet and needle felt making.
Dates: April 2007 to April 2008.

Dunfermline High School.
Description: This involved running a two day workshop with third year Standard Grade Art and Design pupils on knitting techniques and assisting in felt making workshops.
Dates: April 2007 – May 2007

Gray’s School Of Art, The Robert Gordon University.
Description: Visiting Lecturer in Textile Design. Initially I worked closely with 1st year students on their textile projects.  On my following visits I ran workshops with year’s 2-4 BA (hons) textile and surface design students. This involved introducing students to various hand craft and textile techniques and approaches and helping them with their current projects, offering advice and ideas. I also gave a solo talk and presentation of my work to all years.
Dates: October 2006 – April 2007.

I have also ran art sessions for the '3 Harbours Arts Festival', 'Whale Arts' community arts centre and 'Wigtown Book Festival'.
